The title itself is hard to grasp. So, lets try to simplify it. The world has a huge scale when it comes to size. If we compare the biggest known star with the smallest particle yet discovered, we get such a big scale, that we can only describe it using logarithms (will not deal with logarithms now, the point is that the scale is huuuuuge).
Somewhere on this scale there are living creatures who are formed of smaller parts, like their legs, eyes, etc. Going downwards, we reach elemental building blocks of life (from a biological point of view), like cells, DNA, etc. Somewhere here there is a rift, somehow, because if we go lower, we reach atoms, particles, building blocks of quantum physics.
The real problem is the connection. How can particles that are “not living” gather in forms that build up a dog? What is the secret to this, why it is so hard to understand how these things work? The ones talking about these things are hard to find, probably because even they have questions that are not yet answered.
The human perception based on what we learned in schools is pretty weak to clearly see the connection. But this does not mean that there is no connection, it has to be a connection. The question that pops in our mind is: does this come from smaller sizes, or does it come from our brain? Does our brain make our thoughts, or consciousness makes our brain?
We even get tired asking all these questions, so understanding both fields a bit better, talking about them, would make the matter a more common topic.
